I’ve an Archgon blu-ray burner drive, that was — until recently — showing up on my Mac: 21” Intel iMac running macOS.
It was connected over Thunderbolt 3.
I even managed to rip some blurays with it, recently.
Today, when I try and burn a Ubuntu OS disc to a blank DVD — with Burn.app — the app can’t find the thing.
The OS isn’t recognising it.
I recently upgraded to macOS 13.2, and cannot revert to earlier software: as my Time Machine back up doesn’t go far enough. I have tried changing to the USB 3 cables that came with the thing.
Any help … ? Before I have a heart attack?
I should add that I’m a layman: so simple answers would be appreciated!
(As an extra point? The drive show up on perfectly well on my spare Mac: an ageing first generation MacPro running Mountain Lion. It is — according to that machines System info — a Pioneer BD-RW BDR-UD04.)

Apparently some Pioneer drives are running into trouble with MacOS 13.2 Ventura. Presumably Apple or Pioneer will need to release a fix.

Right … I’ve JUST updated to macOS 13.2.1: which seems to have fixed the issue.
