LibreDrive vs Direct
Can someone explain to me the difference between LibreDrive and direct disk access mode? My drive always starts on LibreDrive when I load up a disc but then switches to direct disc access mode. Does it matter? I'm using a BP60NB10.

My understanding is that LibreDrive is a modification to the drive firmware which the allows the running disc reading software to be modified in RAM. This second modification gives you direct access to the disc data. So your LibreDrive disc reader is doing it's job.
