LG WH16NS40: Cross-flashing WH16NS60 firmware

I have a LG WH16NS40, on which I've downgraded to the 1.02 firmware and have been able to rip 4K discs. I've heard there are benefits to cross-flashing the WH16NS60 firmware on the WH16NS40 and am considering doing so. I've seen this thread which has a link to a MK firmware pack:

The firmware pack has a WH16NS60 firmware version 1.03, though I've heard there is a compatibility issue with DVDFab, is that correct? I've seen some posts where people mention using firmware 1.00 or 1.01 with the WH16NS60, so I'm wondering which firmware version would be the best to use? The firmware pack in the above thread also has versions 1.02 and 1.01 for the WH16NS60.
