VIDEO_TS contents are invisible to MakeMKV Mac

Post by Mac Pro in CT »

Hi

I have a few VIDEO_TS folders from Usenet that aren't recognized by MakeMKV. It won't even scan them. The file dialog box is simply grayed out when I navigate into any of the VIDEO_TS folders. It's as if MakeMKV doesn't think there's content there.... but there is.

For example here are the files in one of the directories...

VIDEO_TS.BUP
VIDEO_TS.VOB
VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_01_0.VOB
VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_01_2.VOB
VTS_01_3.VOB
VTS_01_4.VOB
VTS_01_5.VOB
VTS_02_0.IFO
VTS_02_0.VOB
VTS_02_1.VOB
VTS_02_2.VOB
VTS_02_3.VOB

I can play the contents with VLC.

No one has seen this?

By the way, Handbrake recognizes the VIDEO_TS folder contents and will transcode it.

But I would love to avoid that time consuming process with MakeMKV.

I think, MakeMKV is looking for the VIDEO_TS.IFO, which doesn't seem to exist. as BUP should be a copy of IFO, you could try renaming VIDEO_TS.BUP to VIDEO_TS.IFO to see, if it works.
