Certain files skipped due to minimum length amount?

Post by ancient »

Hi all

I've tried the prog for the first time, but I get messages about certain titles that have been skipped due to minimum length requirement?

I thought it did a 1:1 copy....can someone please explain?

Thanks

It depends on your expectation of "1:1 copy". Since MakeMKV... makes .mkvs, it interprets each video segment in a disc structure as an individual title, extracting each 1:1 by 'Save selected titles'. IF you wish to retain the entire disc menu structure for BDs/UHDs (NOT DVDs... literal 1:1), you would select 'Backup'.

MakeMKV provides a mechanism for ignoring titles (segments) other than the main feature by setting an optional 'Minimum title length (seconds)' under the Preferences > Video tab. Some users are not interested in Extras, transition clips, studio logos, etc.. Unsure what the default value is (120, it would seem).

Thanks d00zah, exactly what I was looking for, I personally prefer to rip everything and then delete what I don't want.
I found the setting you kindly described...cheers.
