Where does MakeMKV get a discs "name"?
I thought it was from the volume label. But I've changed it on several of my ISO's and MakeMKV is still showing the old disc name when I open it.

That's interesting. So, is there a way to correct a discs metadata? I have some discs that MakeMVK can't name, or names weirdly, that I'd like to correct. Of course, I was hoping editing the volume label would do that, and it has for the ones that it can't name. But for the ones that it names weirdly, changing the volume label doesn't work.CathieCorby wrote: ↑Tue Apr 06, 2021 10:19 amThe default template always generates unique file names. There are 3 important attributes each title may (or may not) have, that define the value of substitution variables: Name - this is the title name that usually comes from disc metadata, or the value assigned in GUI.

Have you considered using mkvpropedit (https://mkvtoolnix.download/doc/mkvpropedit.html) to change the .mkv file's metadata?

I can fix the MKV name. But, what I would like to do is fix the ISO name. So when I load the ISO into MakeMKV, everything is named properly from the get go.dcoke22 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 07, 2021 3:51 pmHave you considered using mkvpropedit (https://mkvtoolnix.download/doc/mkvpropedit.html) to change the .mkv file's metadata?
I'm not sure why changing the volume label works on ISO files where it couldn't find a name originally, but it doesn't work on ones where it could find a name.
