Does MakeMKV Support .TS Format?

I wanted to convert a 1080i .ts file, but it didn't appear in my import list. Is this format unsupported?

MakeMKV supports the disc structures DVD and Blu-ray. TS (Transport Stream) is a simple container format. You can convert it with "MKVToolNIX GUI" to an MKV file.
