Hi,
I had ripped a Blu-Ray disc using Makemkv to my hard drive and included all video, audio and subtitle tracks. I decided to see if I could save space by removing the non-English tracks. As the source I used the .mkv file on my hard drive previously created. Then used MakeMKV to read that file and unchecked any non-English tracks. Afterwards the new file, which should have less data, was actually larger in size than the original!! How is this possible? Am I doing something wrong?
Any assistance would be appreciated.
File Size Question - Confused
Re: File Size Question - Confused
Wish I could help, but I'm confused what the hell you're doing, which is probably also why no one has replied to this thread yet.
I suggest you start again and rip directly from the Blu-ray with the desired tracks and see what happens.
