MakeMKV BETA popup This application version is too old

Yesterday evening I started getting the popup message that makemkv was too old and I needed to download a later version. I downloaded the latest version, which was the version I already had installed. Normally the newly downloaded version will work fine, but this time I received the same popup saying the application was too old. I tried again today (downloaded again) and uninstalled the program, rebooted, then installed the freshly downloaded application. Same popup.

Perhaps this is related to the fact that MakeMKV hasn't been updated since April? I'm running Windows 7 64 bit.

The key posted here: http://makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1053 . I got the same error today and used that key with no problem.
