MakeMKV 1.9.10 installs but crashes on loading

I've got an up to date Windows 10-64 setup. v1.9.09 worked great, but tonight when I loaded it, it told me I had to enter a registration # or upgrade to v. .10. As I've no idea how to get a registration # (there's no buy link that I'm aware of) I installed v.10 as an administrator. It loads to a point, tells me it has started, then (Not Responding) appears for a few seconds followed by a pop-up saying Fatal Error occurred, program will now exit.

I'm rather disappointed.

Okay, on studying the board I uninstalled v 1.9.10, reinstalled 1.9.09, & ran this registration code at the end of the installation routine:

It loaded fine, ran fine, & on loading notified me v...10 was now available & helpfully provided a link. It could be that with the code involved it might load perfectly but I think I'll wait until v...11 or beyond to find out...

Check your Event Viewer log to see if you had interference from your antivirus. There are two brands of AV that are saying MakeMKV is suspicious. Others say no problem, and one (Avira) has tested it and declared it "clean". Your symptoms are similar to what happens when the AV kicks in mid-program load.
