Forgot to update, my drive shipped fast and was packaged box in a box.
The Pioneer made short work of the 3 UHDs that my libredrive flashed LG didn't like: John Wick 4, They Live, The Thing.

Wanted to say thanks to Billy for providing the Pioneer drives. I've bought some over the past year and they've all been great, none have had an issue at all with any of my discs.

I received my drive from Billy today. Supper fast response to my emails and fast shipping. I mounted the drive up in the OWC case (mounting bracket trick worked great), and it worked perfectly on my first go. Now I need more to speed things up.

Have a question about BDR-213, which is latest firmware from Pioneer which work with MakeMKV to rip UHD BD ?

Question about crossflashed Pioneer drives let's say BDR-212EBK to S12J-X to be MakeMKV Libredrive supported.
Does that drive crossflashed are same and 100% compatible with play UHD BD discs with PowerDVD ? or it's not same as real S12J-X ?

Since Intel deprecated SGX in their CPUs, Cyberlink has removed the ability to play UHDs in PowerDVD 22 and later. If you have a version that currently still works, it isn't a real long term solution.

Am I reading your post correctly that there are no slimline enclosure options? Just the hulking 5.25" enclosures? They're so...BIG.

all slims with old fw are gone since summer of 2023 in the usa thats when i ran out of those
212 with owc case is very good to make a usb drive

Are there any tips/tricks to getting the Pioneer drives to fit in the OWC Mercury Pro case? Do you just have to drill new holes?

you can slot it with a Dremel or bend the tabs
i slotted mine with a Dremel

As others have attested, great seller with an excellent product. Got a 212 drive from Billy for a new AMD Windows build and everything went smoothly. Drive is up and running without any issues. I have used it for both regular and 4K Blu-ray MakeMKV rips.
