What's the cutoff date in order for the firmware to be flashed? Does it have to be before December2022 or are certain models not able to be flashed?

Yes, it must be before Dec 2022 for all models.

I saw that and with my continuing collection of movies, I actually just placed another order with Billy this morning because of this. I'm learning that finding drives elsewhere is basically impossible if you want one that works for 4K.

I’m new to this but need a drive that I can use to rip 4K UHD BluRays. Other BluRays and DVD’s so they can be transferred onto a Zidoo.
I need the drive to be Preflashed and ready to go.
If you have drives available please let me know. And if so the price and how we go about getting one shipped and you paid?

guys i can not stress this enough make sure you paypal address is current everyday now i get someone saying oh thats the wrong address
delete any address you dont want your drive to go to.
its paypal policy i must ship to that address so if we catch it before it ships we need to cancel order and redo it and then you lose the paypal fees again not me this is paypal.

20 S13-UBK restock this will likely be the last restock ever with old fw for any one following and waiting on this
i will continue to have 212's available for the future but not sure how long that stock will last either

Is there something undesirable about the BDR-212? Seems to be the only one in stock, unless the stock numbers on the first post has been abandoned. I currently have an ASUS libredrive, and it sometimes reads UHD, sometimes not. Looking for something more consistent.

It's a very good drive same ripping ability as all other pioneers
Just not as fancy looking.
Pioneers with old fw have dried up this is all that's left
There are a lot more 212s with old fw vs the newer 13 series

These may be the last pioneer drives ever with old fw

Any ray of hope for the new firmware pioneers being able to be flashed?
The CD-DA check function on the BDR-S13U makes me lean heavily towards that drive as I would like to use it more than just movies.

Billy, I received the drive this afternoon. Super fast shipping! The drive is installed and working away. I am a happy camper. Thanks for the discount coupon on MakeMKV, I put that to use as well.

Ordered two pairs of drives over the 2 weeks. Aside from questionable packaging, drives appear to be in good condition and were shipped quickly. I haven't been able to test them yet, but don't see why they wouldn't work. any reason they shouldn't work.
