I am in the same boat with this drive. Got all my standard BluRays ripping OOB, but UHD doesn't read (as expected). Based on the rest of the forum, I think this should be able to be updated, but needing a bit of guidance on that. Not sure which forum rabbit hole I should be in since it is already LibreDrive compatible, but doesn't support UHD OOB.

I just discovered this thread here while looking for why my external Verbatim Blu-ray drive can't read 4K UHD discs. It is also a Pioneer BDR-UD03 drive.
