Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions

MakeMKV does it for you if it can't open a title that needs a key generated for it. You'll see in your log a location and a file ending in .TGZ. That's the dump file.
This is the problem Makemkv doen't generate it...I have to stop the rip because after 20 minutes working, the time to finish go up to infinite ( I mean a lot of hours), maybe this is the problem?SamuriHL wrote: Thu Jul 17, 2025 7:10 pm MakeMKV does it for you if it can't open a title that needs a key generated for it. Then I would guess that MakeMKV already knows your disk's key, and is having a different problem. What does MakeMKV's log output say?neo14 wrote: Thu Jul 17, 2025 7:39 pm This is the problem Makemkv doen't generate it...I have to stop the rip because after 20 minutes working, the time to finish go up to infinite ( I mean a lot of hours), maybe this is the problem?
I'm currently testing it on another computer. I have two, and I normally use the old one to save all my movies and rip them. On the other one, so far, it works and doesn't go crazy over time. It's very strange because I made 95% of the copies on the old one and never had any problems, only with Casino Royale.MrPenguin wrote: Thu Jul 17, 2025 8:02 pmThen I would guess that MakeMKV already knows your disk's key, and is having a different problem. email also sent.
Hey bacardi98, that particular version of Clueless was added to the public keydb on June 27. If you'd like to decrypt your disc with MakeMKV you can follow my instructions here
Hey Shaneacook1989, it is possible that your particular variant is distinct from bacardi98's. If my keydb instructions don't work for you please feel free to provide a link to your disc dump file.Shaneacook1989 wrote: Fri Jul 18, 2025 12:36 am I just tried for this movie and it says volume key is unknown.
Should I just try the disc in makemkv every so often to see if the key has been updated? And if it is updated, I assume it will just automatically open?
Thank you
I got it, thank you for the help.keydb_helper wrote: Fri Jul 18, 2025 1:06 amHey bacardi98, that particular version of Clueless was added to the public keydb on June 27. If you'd like to decrypt your disc with MakeMKV you can follow my instructions here
Remember, the public keydb is distinct from MakeMKV's native title support.

Hey MovieMan88, if you'd like to see support for your disc added to the public keydb you will need to provide a link to the dump file.MovieMan88 wrote: Fri Jul 18, 2025 4:32 pm Barry Lyndon UHD Criterion Dump sent via email with the TGZ attached.
Hey Steve819, thanks for taking the time to include the MKB_RO.inf file along with your partial disc dump file. Your particular variant of Constantine has actually been supported by the public keydb since February 14. If you follow the instructions I linked in the first post to setup the keydb you should be able to decrypt your disc with MakeMKV.
Hey Damnyoubezos, thank you for providing a suitable disc dump file. Like Steve819, your disc is also already supported by the public keydb (but it was only added yesterday). You can setup MakeMKV to utilise the public keydb by following my instructions here or use SamuriHL's utility for Windows (Link)Damnyoubezos wrote: Sat Jul 19, 2025 12:23 am I recieved this disc 4 days before the movie officially released.

Hey JIM7S, thanks for providing a suitable disc dump file. The 1364 variant of Sinners has been added to the public keydb.
