can anyone help me here?
I'm a bit confused, I just received my new Verbatim 43888 drive,
on the sticker it says KIAB which from what I read should be Pioneer, but I'm still a bit in doubt

and from what I can read it's still necessary to flash the drive,
is that correct and can anyone help me with how to do it?

You have the LG drive. Pretty much all Verbatim 43888 drives are coming with the LG drive inside.

Hello,
thank you for this nice place and fantastic software.
And the Flash, Crossflash safe my old Hardware and i can buy cheap old drives
I live in Germany.
We have Mediamarkt, Saturn, Expert
This local stores have old Drives

, you look on the 2x Trash Sticker you have 50/50 Chance.
I order in May 2025 a 43888 online and the shipped to Mediamarkt Store in my Town.
Model Code: KIAB = Pioneer Drive
On page 2 i have the Package without the Drive.
Only 2x Trash Sticker.
I pay 99€

Would be nice to get a pioneer drive inside these things, but seems they are all LG now.
