made sure to run Sami's tool

but just few minutes later it started working and Sami's tool now says key is present
keydb file works for anydvd and XR but doesn't work on Makemkv
Was able to rip with former 2 programs but not MakeMKV v1.18.1
Also manually copied latest keydb to makemkv folder but no joy
