Just be calm and patient; no need to start arguments.

If it is an original DVD you are trying to rip from then send a polite email to support as shown here:

Dont expect an instant response; MakeMKV has great potential but is still in beta and the developers are usually very busy.

For "Fatal error occured.. program will now exit"
Try running MakeMKV *without* firefox running. Don't ask me why this works. My guess is that either firefox or MakeMKV doesn't respect the memory space used or something. I couldn't figure out why the hell MakeMKV (current version as of this posting) was working and then would erratically get these errors. I've had FF crash on me a few times in OSX, so I started eliminating running programs -- once firefox was completely killed during MakeMKV runs, no more fatal errors.

Btw --- to confirm, as soon as I launch Firefox or have it running, the errors return.

i dont have firefox on my pc and i do have all programs closed? i use opera? and im windows 7. thanks for the heads up tho but its not all dvds its just some. as of now it has errored at begining or right at the end of rip. one or the other depending on what dvd. the 4 problem films at the moment are uk pal region 2. normal dvd. spiderman 3, die hard 4.0, resident evil apocalyps and hostel 2. i plan to go through my hole collection and everything that didnt work i will send my error reports and so on for each one to the email address as directed. if more people have the same problem please add so then i dont feel im on my own lol plus i think what the admin are trying to do with this software is good and take on board all problems and try to resolve them. even with errors on dvds i still going to stick with makemkv and support them in their aim to rip any dvd there is

I'm nearly through the As in my collection. American Beauty R2 fails right at the beginning, it just sits there right at the beginning after choosing your titles.
Also a definite problem with missing titles in rare horror release by German/Swiss producer EC Entertainment called A Blade In The Dark.

what confuses me a little is that i can understand error at the beggining when opening disc and decrpts. means it the copy protection but why it gets through that and fails later really confuses me
