Too late - the firmware is already screwed up, locked by Pioneer to prevent use for UHDs.

The rip went well, with one issue there is no sound. I selected the sound format I wanted, and left everything to default. There weren't any errors in the output status. Any assistance would be appreciated. Here's the sound format I selected for output:

Track information
Type: Audio
Name: Surround 7.1 (English)
Language: English
Codec: TrueHD Atmos
Channels: 8
Channel layout: 7.1
Sample rate: 48000
Bits per sample: 24
MKV Flags: Default

Provide the mkv output from Media info so we can see exactly what is in the resulting mkv file.

You may be missing some audio codecs on your PC.

That as exactly it. I had to use a different video player and then I was able to hear the sound. Windows media player I guess doesn't have the codec to properly play .mkv files. Thanks for your help.

No, Windows Media Player doesn't have the audio codecs to play TrueHD (Atmos).

Try to download MPC-HC Player... and dont forget to also download the K-Lite Codec Pack to add on more Codec's. it works hand in hand to provide all u need player.
