Does yusesope's tool only work for FEL or also for MEL? With FEL i've no problem but with MEL is always stuck like this:https://www.makemkv.com/forum/download/ ... ew&id=2661

They agreed on a solution on how to add dv (and other) data to the mkv standard! Mike confirmed he would follow those :D

Now we just need to get exoplayer to implement it as mentioned in the mkv standard! One step closer to dv in mkv!

That's fantastic news. I never thought we'd see this day. Obviously we have a ways to go but this is a step in the right direction!

Hi, I converted the video via MakeMKV and added it to tsMuxer, video not recognized. Where is the problem?

Any idea if we're going to have to re-rip again? I spent the day re-ripping a bunch with the current version. :/

Your picture clearly shows the video track is definitely recognized. It's the audio that wasn't added. Please read this thread. It's been explained.

I think we will have to - mike did it in a new and smarter way, but they were afraid of compatability with existing software using the "old" way already

Sorry if this a dumb question

Yesterday I ripped 2 DV UHDs using the least MakeMKV version

1. Godzilla KOTM - this has both DV and HDR10+. Mediainfo shows MKV file containing HDR10+ but no DV.

2. Aquaman - this is DV only. Mediainfo shows HDR10.

Is this due to Mediainfo not capable of recognising DV in MKV or I missed selecting something in MakeMKV?

Please clarify.

Issue lies within mediainfo.

thetoad wrote: Thu May 07, 2020 7:22 pm If one open a Dolby Vision mkv created with 1.51.1 with 1.15.1, there's no indication that the video is dolby vision, it just shows

Codec: MpegH HEVC Main10@L5.1

while somewhat cosmetic, it probably should show the dolby vision?
There's no support yet in any playback software or mediainfo to detect the dolby vision descriptors that are now in the 1.15.1 mkvs. That's why people have been converting them to TS/M2TS for proper playback.

I hope @Mike can say something regarding this. If not, I’m sure a new version will be available soon anyway.

Anyone has this media box? Does this really support DV as it claims?

Planning to give it a go as looking for a box that play my 4K / 3D rips effortlessly

Bummer. If it's just some flags in the file itself hopefully there's a tool to just rewrite the mkv file instead of re-ripping the whole disc. Guess I'll stop for now.

Excellent news. Too bad I re-ripped all my DV titles to MKV with the current version with the hopes of Plex getting MKV DV capability in near future. Oh well. It's only about 30 discs and I have them ripped in full folder format so not terrible to do again.
