Hello

I'm looking to flash my drive so I can rip UHD discs, can anyone help?

Drive Information
OS device name: E:
Manufacturer: PIONEER
Product: BD-RW BDR-XS07U
Revision: 1.02
Serial number: CBDL008388UC
Firmware date: 2022-10-24
Bus encryption flags: 13

LibreDrive Information
Status: Enabled
Drive platform: RS8E21
Firmware name: PIONEER BDR-BDS7
Firmware type: Original (unpatched)
Firmware version: 1.02/ID05
DVD all regions: Yes
BD raw data read: Yes
BD raw metadata read: Yes

This shouldn't need flashing. Have you tried a UHD disc yet?
Yes, when I try to load the disc it fails.
With what error?
Cheers :D

This is what it says:

MakeMKV v1.18.3 win(x64-release) started
Using LibreDrive mode (v02.1 id=CA5C627C459A)
Using direct disc access mode
Loaded content hash table, will verify integrity of M2TS files.
Downloading latest HK to C:\Users\Bryan/.MakeMKV ...
Automatic HK downloading is disabled or failed.
Saved AACS dump file as C:\Users\Bryan/.MakeMKV/MKB20_v61_Ready_Player_One_6B49.tgz
The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted
Failed to open disc

So there are no actual read errors. Your issue is clear.

You need to fix your HK download issue otherwise you won't be able to rip a lot of UHD discs. MakeMKV needs to be able to download it's HK database to get the UHD decryption keys. Your computer is most likely geo-blocking Russia (that's where the HK is downloaded from). You should fix this geo-blocking or you could try running MakeMKV through a VPN.
Cheers :D

I got it working. I do use a VPN, turns out my VPN was blocking.
Thanks for your help
