Hello,
but I need a UART flasher for that, right?
Also, I might have missed it – could you please point me to the exact guide? The forum is quite large and a bit confusing.

The title of this thread is: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2025
Go to the first post in this thread and read it. Read it twice. It is maintained, up-to-date, and very information dense. It includes instructions for what you need to do and links to all the tools and firmware you need.

I flashed my drive a few months ago, and am on Windows 11. After flashing, I was able to rip UHD, but now, the PC is not able to recognize the drive.
I see the device register as "USB to ATA/ATAPI Bridge" when I plug it in, and nothing registers in MakeMKV when I open it (MakeMKV version 1.18.1).
Is it something with Windows 11 that old firmware won't work on it? Also idk if there is a way to re-flash the device?

I'm looking to buy an ASUS BW-16D1HT drive. They seem to be out of stock at many UK retailers at the moment with new stock expected soon. Is there any danger that when new stock arrives the firmware will be too new to flash to a UHD friendly version or should that not be a concern?

OK thanks for that. I'm on vacation next week so doubtful a new drive could be delivered before I go so hopefully by the time I get back there will be a new beta key or purchasing new keys will be available again.

The "Recommended UHD Drives" list at the beginning of this topic is great, but some of the drives are no longer available. Is there a updated list of recommended drives?
Do you realize that fluoridation is the most monstrously conceived and dangerous Communist plot we have ever had to face?
