Dunno what you mean, the GUI does all I need it to do as did previous incarnations.

I see, Hybrid is an application and not a hybrid of the Handbrake GUI and the CLI.

It would be a lot easier to try Hybrid if I had some idea what it is and where to find it... A Google search for "hybrid transcode video" came up with discussions on a variety of topics, none of which were a program named "Hybrid".

took me less than 2 minute tu find this with the key words "hybrid gui encoder"
4th and 5th entry and from the gui there was a link to the encoder

I was pretty silly, and tired, and just typed in Hybrid. Lotsa SEO to Toyota on that one!
I searched for 'Hybrid video conversion' and was a bit more successful.

If HandBrake can't help you extract subtitle from MKV, you can turn to Google. There are so many extractor available online but before going to download or purchase, find out the best one. I'm using one of them named Faasoft MKV Subtitle Extractor, happy with it.
