Well, I just got an email from PayPro that they have initiated a refund.
I was waiting to see how it plays out (until around Monday was my plan)

Same here. I got an email from PayPro saying they were refunding me, even though I did not ask for one. Hope Mike is ok. If/when he comes back, I'll definitely be buying the license again.

If I thought there’d be a profit from it, the signs would say “Exit Scam” loudly.
But can’t see any advantage to cutting and running with no receipts other than the current ones. Still, if a new beta key isn’t up by next week, I’m not going to expect to see one again.
Was Darpanet, then Arpanet, the Internet and been participating since a “search” meant using CLI with tools named Archie and Jughead. A certain odor precedes a company’s expiration, and there may be a whiff in the air. With hope, I’m wrong. Gonna seek replacements’ reviews in meantime.

Yup, same for me. I sent an email to Paypro Global and they CC'd me on an email where they were asking Mike/MakeMKV to respond to me, on my behalf.. and the next day I'm issued a refund without asking for one. Very strange.

Hope everything is all right. I'm going to just wait and see.

PayPro back online today. Purchased and received a key. Key works. The free beta key is also available again.

Thank you for letting us know. I think it's time for me to buy a license.

I got the key instantly in my inbox.

1. I don't want to deal with the drama with beta keys expiring and not getting replaced.
2. I don't want to futz with my system clock.
3. I want to support this wonderful product that I'm making massively frequent use of right now.

I successfully purchased a permanent key this morning.

Just before I tested and purchased another equivalent product!

Right before the end of July, I was contemplating buying it, but then it stopped working (kinda), and that made me decide, as soon as I can buy it, I'll get the key.
And so I did, bought the permanent key yesterday.

I'm pretty sure Mike just got handed a very large payout for his work.

I've been using MakeMKV only for a few weeks but have found it to be solid and trustworthy
Having a permanent key is some peace of mind for the next beta key timeout.
