Manufacturer: PIONEER
Product: BD-RW BDR-XD05

Cheer for that, as soon I seen the info had an idea it could not be done at the moment.
Probably why he gave it to me.
Thank you

Mike has assured us that
all UHD-capable Pioneers will
eventually support LibreDrive. However, today is not yet that day...

Hi,
I did see Mike's post after I posted this, however thought it was worth asking. As I mentioned before that's why he probably gave it to me

.
Let's hope Mike can sort something out.

Hello @Coopervid,
I was looking to pruchase a new BD drive to replace my very old Pioneer one (and backup UHD discs). Then, I stumbled upon this thread, that made me think that maybe my old drive still had some potential…
Do you think anything could be done with this?
Drive Information
Manufacturer: PIONEER
Product: BD-RW BDR-XD05
Revision: 3.01
Serial number:
Firmware date: 2014-12-26
Bus encryption flags: 1B
Highest AACS version: 82
LibreDrive Information
Status: Enabled
Drive platform: RS8231
Firmware name: PIONEER BDR-XD05
Firmware type: Original (unpatched)
Firmware version: 3.01/ID34
DVD all regions: Yes
BD raw data read: Yes
BD raw metadata read: Yes
Unrestricted read speed: Yes
And if not, what would be your recommendation for a good model to buy, currently available, that could work out of the box (and be used with a mac).
Thanks a lot!
