I did a Windows refresh install with same result. So, makemkv is the only thing installed. This is on Windows 10. Could it be a router issue? Do I need a port opened?
Fantastic. Tried it but the update failed on both the 3.01 & 3.02 bin file with the error: Updating failure #4. Re-read the boards & copied over Mikes' firmware update for the drive. Re-ran it & all ok.MartyMcNuts wrote: Sun Mar 17, 2019 9:50 pmThe ASUS windows flasher + firmwaremfraz74 wrote: Sun Mar 17, 2019 9:16 pm What software other than WinPE do I need to upgrade to MK 3.03?

and/or the MK firmware (see previous post from SamuriHL) if you want to stay on 3.03 firmware.
you should install the MK 3.10 Patched firmware from the libredrive firmware packBLKMGK wrote: Wed May 01, 2019 9:50 pm I've been using this drive quite awhile and only just noticed the Libredrive stuff coming up lol. I came looking to learn about it and the unrestricted read which I understand isn't yet resolved. I'm currently running firmware 3.00 and see comments about custom firmware. Is there any real pressing need for me to move off of 3.0 to say 3.1 and patch it? So far most discs seem to be no issue although I did have issue with one that required a few attempts <shrug>. Just curious![]()
You need to make sure that MakeMKV can download updates, or you have to download the latest SDF.bin manually.Drakuhl wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 10:16 pm Is there an additional step I missed? I have not yet inserted a UHD disk as I am planning to get my first ones after I get this to work!
open a bluray disk and then the sdf will download and libredrive will activateDrakuhl wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 10:16 pm I just got my Asus BW-16D1HT 3.03 today, installed it in my PC, used the new Flasher to update it to the 3.10 MK firmware (from the March 19 pack) and MakeMKV still does not show the Libredrive functionality in the info field:

Just put a blu ray or UHD in the drive. MakeMKV will then download the sdf and libredrive info should appear.jerryfudd81 wrote: Sun May 05, 2019 2:33 pmI was curious too but a quick Google said http://www.makemkv.com/svq/sdf.bin and just stick it in the makemkv dir....spl147 wrote: Sun May 05, 2019 1:44 pmwhere do we get the SDF.bin from?mike admin wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 10:25 pm

No it's the same firmware just an easier was to flash themaaronwt wrote: Fri Aug 02, 2019 10:48 pm I used the old method from Spring 2018 to upgrade my Asus BW-16D1HT to be UHD friendly. I did two drives in Spring 2018 and one in Summer 2018.
All three drives have been rock solid with reading my UHD BD titles. I've ripped over 225 UHD BD titles with them so far.
Is there any reason for me to upgrade with this newer method to the newer firmware versions?
