I have this same LGBHNS55 ver 1.01.
I use this drive to create over 80+ dumps , then suddenly it just stopped detecting discs. It powers on, thats all.
How do I create a firmware dump for this drive ? Where is your guide ?
If you are in the U.S, can I send it to you ? I will pay to have you ship back to me.

You can do it from windows command prompt.

Download the devilclaw's flasher from here : https://github.com/devilsclaw/flasher/releases

(32 bit or 64 bit depending on your OS).

Then follow my guide. It is clear and easy.

Same with my old one. CDs were still detected, but no Blurays... Got a new one by LG, it was broken...

Did you try a dump of that unit ? Maybe I could have fixed it.

No this was the one i send back to LG to get the new one.
