This sure looks like a DVD that was pre-ripped with DVDFab or similar. Was it?

If the DVD is a Letterbox type or anamorphic with an aspect ration of 1.85:1 or higher then the black borders at the top and bottom are normal.

I think that is probably an issue with your player software or codecs. I use Windows Media Player and the CCCP codec pack and have not had any aspect ratio or scaling issues.

I have no idea what you are trying to say!
Is the log you've posted the result of using ONLY MakeMKV with an ORIGINAL, COMMERCIAL DVD, or is it the result of using MakeMKV with a ripped COPY (either on disc or on hard drive) made using DVDFab or similar as the source?

@mikeinessex
I would very much appreciate it if you would respond SPECIFICALLY to my last post.
(And since you have two people trying to help you, ADDRESS your responses to the person you are answering)
**EDIT**Since you seem to keep going off on new tangents, I'll stop posting to this thread.
Bye...

I'm no expert but I think MakeMKV has two diferent methods for dealing with protected DVD structure. Trim is plan B.
