My first post here. I have an OLED B7P panel, and it worked just fine! I'm really glad I found this thread.

The question is, does anybody knows any other player that supports DV from a USB drive other than Oppo? LG UBKM9 or UBK90 models, for instance?

We are all thanking Yusecope for creating tools and investing time here to make our lives better. But the real " thank you " will be to helping to invest in a solid DV capable hardware since he does not own any, AFAIK.

I am calling out everyone here to put our efforts together to buy him a nice OLED TV with Shield Pro and Blu Ray player such as X700 ( or even better, Oppo)

I have no idea, never done donation links. If someone willing to come up with an idea, I will be very happy to contribute

Sony X700 or Oppo China Clone

You forgot "a nice Ferrari"!
Seriously, thank you for the idea @mulucy but ABSOLUTELY NOT!
The lines of code you are using are, for the most part, the result of a lockdown. Away 1000 Km from my family, with the fear of losing my job, with the anxiety for university exams, writing a few lines of code helped me to spend this period of forced closure peacefully. It is not a job but an "advanced Sudoku" and I would feel bad if I received money for a hobby. Money must be donated to people in need or in exchange for hard work! Thank you both but I just need a "thank you" and a little mention if someone wants to implement my code\logic.
Thanks for understanding.

Thanks.
Too bad those LG models don't support it. I just found one second-hand in excellent condition for a very good price.

Brief information. I have no Dolby vision nor Atmos but my brother does. Am not really interested in reading all 194 pages.
So is there a way now to combine DV and Atmos into one single container mkv and or mp4?

Would be nice to have some dedicated locked thread with information only (no discussion) or at least an updated first post to current situation.

I heard that plex or emby is supporting both in one go. Personally I use jellyfin. Anyway it should be quite easy to add support for DV + Atmos in jellyfin if there isn't a one container solution already. You can feed individual streams (video, audio, subtitle) within the jellyfin server to the client. I believe that is how emby/plex is implementing it as well.

yes but that would be ''fake'' dolby vision. You need to remux using the latest tsMuxer in order to get real DV

use the mp4muxer for LG TV playback.. tsmuxer dual layer files will only work on the x700 and the oppo.

I merge both layers into a single hevc using yusesope's tool.
Then I add the hevc file and Dolby truehd audio using tsmuxer into a single TS container.

It will play fine on LG using Emby because you can select core ac3 5.1 audio for playback (which is part of the truehd track).

I guess that's the best way for preservation because unlike mp4muxer you can also include the he audio (and Atmos).

Guys, how do I do / what are the commands to redo a mkv remux generated by MakeMKV, but keep Dolby Vision data, using ffmpeg? Is this too complicated, or is it still not possible?
I know that MKVToolNix currently maintains the BlockAdditional data track. But I would like to do it for ffmpeg.
Thank you.

When trying to run yusesope's tool on Mac I get a syntax error. Is there something I need to do first to get it to run? Thanks
