Hey so I just but a new sealed in box Pioneer BDR-209dbk with a MFG date of 2014 will post the drive details when it arrives kinda curious though what software gets flashed to these. I noticed with the LG’s they all generally use the same file same for pioneers? Is this drive basically a scaled down 212 or are there legitimate hardware differences?

Hey!

Is there anyone that has written a guide or a youtube video on how to flash a drive attached to an unraid server? I have MakeMKV installed in a docker container. I'll post my drive info below, new to all this so any help would be appreciated. I'm assuming the gui doesn't work for me as well like it does on windows.

Harware support: Yes
Firmware support: No
Firmware type: Original (patched version available)
Firmware version 1.05
DVD all regions: Possible (with patched firmware)

I need a little help if someone would be so kind.
Trying to flash a new BU40N (LG) from 1.05 to 1.03, using Terminal on MacOS. I'm getting a Drive Not Found error. It definitely sees it in the cmd just before. Would someone please take a look and see if perhaps I'm doing something wrong? TIA!

According to your log, the name of your optical drive is: /IOBDServices/D81BBE52

The one you specified in your command is not that.

Thanks for the reply!
Yeah, you were absolutely right. Duh. :)
It went through the process and said it was 100% done but when I open MakeMKV, it still registers the 1.05 firmware. Maybe it's encrypted?

Yeah, it was encrypted. Worked with the other command. And done! :)
Thanks again for the help!
