This is very old but where did you find a DV Web-DL? I've never seen that, only DV from Blu-ray rips.RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2019 4:51 pmreal web-dl single layer DV of Stranger Things season 3 play nicely.

Someone PMed me asking for MediaInfo of the file that worked. I decided I might as well give some comprehensive documentation, so:
Here are the test files that worked:

may i have a link to your ffmpeg and tsmuxer?
tsMuxer (nightly): https://bintray.com/justdan96/tsMuxer/t ... UI-Nightly
Once you use tsMuxer you can get the TrueHD/DTS track directly from the original .m2ts file.
and yet i still seem to have the issue that if i use the trueHD track i get a error: see image,
i have to use the underlaying ac3 track otherwise it won''t play(see image)
heres my file info aswell as my ffmpeg command i used:
Code: Select all

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Use MakeMKV 1.51.1 (I deselect all audio tracks and subtitles, so i only convert the video)rosavanwinkle wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2020 10:03 amhmmm i think i'm going wrong somewhere, because i have to use the underlaying ac3 audio of the truehd atmos cause otherwise i get a error/hdr
may i have a link to your ffmpeg and tsmuxer?
Use this old or fixed tsmuxer:
tsMuxer dvhe.04.zip https://forums.plex.tv/uploads/short-ur ... pD0Jt1.zip
tsMuxer dvhe.08.zip https://forums.plex.tv/uploads/short-ur ... 13jSZs.zip
(I found the two tsmuxers here in the forum and also shared them at plex forum)
ffmpeg is not required... just get the soundtracks directly from the disc/.mpls/.m2ts
SamuriHL summed it up well:
If you need subtitles, demux with the tsmuxer the PGS subtitles from the disc/.mpls /.m2ts in .sup files.SamuriHL wrote: ↑Thu Apr 16, 2020 3:36 amGoddamn this is AWESOME! Made an unprotected ISO of Joker (you'll see why in a sec). Created the MKV with MakeMKV. Opened TSMuxer and dropped the MKV onto it. Opened the mounted ISO's 800.mpls and added the audio track. Spit out a TS file, dropped it on my NAS. Plex picked it up and is now playing in Dolby Vision with ATMOS. Super brilliant and thanks to all who have been fighting this good fight!!
Then create an SRT subtitle from the .sup with the program subtitle edit. Then put it in the folder of your video and name it like this:
filename_from_video .eng.srt
filename_from_video .eng.forced.srt
This is my way as I play it with the Shield 2019 Pro and Plex
Here's another hint it might not work for you:
shawnc22 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 4:04 pmFrom personal testing, it does not seem like an issue with profile 6, but rather one with recent versions of tsmuxer and the video track that makemkv is creating. If you create the BL+EL+RPU hevc track with yusecope’s tool instead (which theoretically is the same one generated by makemkv), it will work fine in profile 6 with the latest nightly builds of tsmuxer. If you also modify the source code of the latest tsmuxer build to create profile 4 instead of 6 files with the video track from makemkv, plex will also not recognize the video track at all. It seems like there’s just something from the makemkv video track that recent versions of tsmuxer do not like. The other odd thing is mediainfo still detects the video track just fine despite not being playable on plex.

may i have a link to your ffmpeg and tsmuxer?
Use this old or fixed tsmuxer:
tsMuxer dvhe.04.zip https://forums.plex.tv/uploads/short-ur ... pD0Jt1.zip
tsMuxer dvhe.08.zip https://forums.plex.tv/uploads/short-ur ... 13jSZs.zip
(I found the two tsmuxers here in the forum and also shared them at plex forum)
ffmpeg is not required... just get the soundtracks directly from the disc/.mpls/.m2ts
SamuriHL summed it up well:If you need subtitles, demux with the tsmuxer the PGS subtitles from the disc/.mpls /.m2ts in .sup files.SamuriHL wrote: ↑Thu Apr 16, 2020 3:36 amGoddamn this is AWESOME!

Still the same error/issue, used makemkv just for the videotrack, then used tsmuxer (both of them) to get the truehd track...anyone wants to talk to me in a chat on discord? idk where i'm going wrong...

My c9 just refuses to play the Mandalorian video files. Actually the files play at first but once I skip to another point in the film the video stops playing and shows a message “the file cannot be recognized”. After that, that message shows everytime I try to play the video. Very weird. Apparently the tv can play it but only temporarily.RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2020 12:51 pmThere are 3 single layer DV profile 05.06 web-dl releases circulating on the web.tr000 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2020 3:37 amThis is very old but where did you find a DV Web-DL? yes as we discussed the other day about that, the problem seems to be the C9 because the files play fine on the C6, C7, C8, Shield, X700 & oppo.deadchip12 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2020 1:23 pmMy c9 just refuses to play the Mandalorian video files. I watched the Mandalorian on the native Disney+ app with DV and it was unremarkable, but good to know the scene can rip DV from streams. I wish there was more DV available since basically everything on Netflix and Disney+ has it.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I see people watch Mandalorian on Disney+ and say it is fake hdr with max luminance never exceeding 200 nits. However when I download the webrip x265 10 bit torrent version of the show and watch it on my oled it doesn't look like fake hdr. The specular highlights definitely are way above 200 nits; explosions and lasers are even blinding at times. The overall presentation is better than some ultra hd bluray even. The only complaint is the blacks look elevated in dark scenes, shadow detail is not the best and there's some color banding on the sky. Not sure if there is a diffencence between this version and the streaming one.tr000 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2020 12:24 amVery interesting. BL+RPU makes sense since I get BL+EL+RPU from Blu-rays. Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I'm not sure what is going wrong when I try this, but no matter what I do the files stutter like crazy when I try playing them through plex on the 2019 Shield, when I hit stop the Shield is unresponsive for about 10 seconds as well. I've tried multiple versions of tsMuxer, and mode 1 and 2 of yusesope's tool. Though when I try mode 2, media info reports the file as profile 08.06 rather than profile 5 for some reason.
I have a 2019 Shield non pro, and a LG B9
I'm currently using version 3 revision 1 of yusesope's tool and the latest tsMuxer nightly.
I demux the m2ts in tsMuxer, then put them in yusesope's tool, then back to tsMuxer to remux with the audio track.
Can anyone using a Shield let me know their exact steps and which versions of the software lead to smooth playback?
Thank you!

try turning off the new player and make sure frame rate match is on in the plex player settingsArbigator wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2020 3:40 amI'm not sure what is going wrong when I try this, but no matter what I do the files stutter like crazy when I try playing them through plex on the 2019 Shield, when I hit stop the Shield is unresponsive for about 10 seconds as well.
Thank you!
