Thanks!! The flash appears to have installed successfully, and the drive recognizes 4K discs now, but it can't seem to decrypt any 4k disc I've tried. Any thoughts?

Thanks again!

Most likely It's not supported yet natively by Makemkv. Read this and install KEXDB.cfg.

I got the PM, flashed the firmware, and it worked reading and making a backup of a 4k Disk. However, now I am unable to burn discs. Is that expected? Is there a way to go back to the OEM firmware?

It should not have any effect on writing discs at all.
Cheers :D

I have tried 2 different programs to burn a disk and they both fail. One of the programs straight up said this drove isn't compatible. The drive used to work just fine? Any ideas what it could be?

It is still original Pioneer firmware, albiet a different model but still original firmware. It shouldn't effect disc writing.

I guess you could go back to the original firmware but you would lose UHD readability. Ask whomever helped you flash it.
Cheers :D

Remove ALL power from the drive. Reboot yor PC. Connect the drive and try again. Report back

This appears to match what others have had success with, so I'm hopeful! I would like to note I'm on Linux and I'm very comfortable using `sdftool` if it's just a matter of flashing a particular file. I just haven't been able to find that information for this specific drive anywhere. I look forward to any guidance you can provide!
