Thank you! I ran the command below but the muxer seems to read the whole hevc file in and writes nothing. I end up with a 0 kb output file. Any clues as to what I am doing wrong? I used tsmuxer to extract the hevc files from the original m2ts.

Hi Shawn, thanks for the tip, it actually worked. No more stops and now I'm able to move back and forward the movie.

However, I'm still noticing some small imperfection in the playback, it isn't smooth as it appears with its mkv version (but of course no DV).

Is there any operation to be reviewed in my procedure or this is so far the best we can get? Thanks.

I think you have to wait a bit more. your cmd-line seems right.

The muxer works this way:
1- read the whole file
2- does some unknown work for a couple of minutes ( 10-20 min depending on the length of the movie)
3- then start writing the mp4

Yes dual layer. I don’t insert sound because I use dolby atmos for headphone on pc with my headphone. So everytime I have to sync the video played on my c9’s internal player with the audio played on my pc. It’s a pain
until we have a media player on pc that can play Dolby Vision but I doubt that day will ever come.

Thanks, I let it run for longer and got 1917 and Joker working on my C9. So happy with the results.

with the latest nightly build of tsmuxer, single track BL+EL+RPU hevc + audio track = Dovi Profile 6 Video that’s not good for me, because shield tv pro 2019 does not support DoVi Profile 6.

Dovi Profile 6 has been deprecated by dolby.

Now if we can just get Nvidia to fix the color issues on the shield playing back Dolby Vision we might get somewhere

Hi, yesterday I also tried 1917 on my Shield and IMHO playback still isn't smooth as I was expecting, I notice this in particular in horizontal movements (e.g. initial scene with Dreamworks logo). I used Plex for the playback. Did you notice anything similar?

Just for my curiosity, what's the issue with color while playing DV? Thanks.

Just received my C9, can confirm that any profile 7 file created with the new version 1.0.1 doesn’t work on it (didn’t try other profiles). Tried again with the first version (also in p7) and so far every movie has worked, thanks so much to the person who posted the google drive link
I tried: knives out, 1917, casino royale, spider-man homecoming, 2001.
Some movies had dts tracks tho, I had to convert them to ac3 with eac3to but I’d like to keep the native dts if possible, is there a way ?
