Any one have the tar. File to rip 4k. Cuz its not working for me?
You need to email your TGZ dump file to
svq@makemkv.com. And can you also upload this file into (say) OneDrive or Google Drive, and then reply with a public download link please? This would allow people to try adding your disk to the public
KEYDB.cfg file too, as well as telling everyone which disk you have...

Here is the dump file for High Society 4K
Have you tried downloading the latest
KEYDB.cfg file, copying it into MakeMKV's data directory (i.e. where MakeMKV also writes its TGZ dump files) and restarting MakeMKV?
If that doesn't work, could you also upload your TGZ dump file into (say) OneDrive or Google Drive, and then reply with a public download link please? This would allow people to try adding your disk to the public KEYDB.cfg file.

Hey imacmike and Rojma, support for your
Better Off Dead disc was added to the public keydb on July 30.
Yeah sorry. I hadn't updated my KEYDB.cfg file so MakeMKV was thinking it wasn't available yet. Once I updated it, MakeMKV was able to process it.

Hi,
here are dumps of 3 Blurays "Grisaia Pantom Trigger TV Animation Blu-ray BOX" I tried to backup without success. Discs use AACS v82.
MakeMKV fails to decrypt the files, because the volume key is unknown. Tried to use the keyDB.cfg, without success.

MakeMKV has no problem with AACS v81 discs, only v82. What error are you getting? If it errors out part way through decrypting, it's not a key issue, it's something else. In this case, copy and paste your MakeMKV log window as this will help.

Hey ReayMAX, your disc has been added to the public keydb. I'm not sure if this will allow you to backup your disc with MakeMKV as there seems to be an unusual error occurring. As Marty noted MakeMKV should natively support MKBv81 AACS 1.0 titles, so I'd recommend creating a new thread for your disc.

Sorry it's my fault, it's weird cause lats time makemkv shows it can't be decrypted for some issue, but when i try this time it can be decrypted successfully without any errors.
Anyway the problem is solved, thanks a lot.

I've never heard of "run FindVUK in 'ValidateDisc' mode".
A little googling I found in need DVDfab, or there were other references about running command level prompts which I didn't really understand.
Do you have any easy instructions on how to do this?
I've submitting several dumps to you in the past and you never requested this?
Since I downloaded and the latest keydb file and was able to rip the disk, what does this additional info provide if the disk can now be successfully ripped?

SamuriHL's "KEYDB Helper" tool is a handy front-end for FindVUK, and should allow you to run "ValidateDisc" easily.
This mode verifies that an entry in KEYDB.cfg does indeed decrypt the physical disk in your drive, and therefore allows KEYDB to remove the entry's "(NOTVALIDATED)" tag. It also allows kEYDB to fill in any missing fields, which could not be populated using the TGZ dump file alone.
