Hi Viola, you didn't follow the tutorial exactly as described (force flash) or you didn't pick both files as requested. Another error source could be a disc in the drive. Try again!Viola wrote: Mon Jan 20, 2025 4:02 pmHi, I've a problem with the software that doesn't wotk and say me "drive and firmware hardware types don't match", I've tried run as administrator and the force flash setting is enable. I'm on Windows 11 24H2 build 26100.2605
Do as requested and I will follow up with a PM to you.Bradley2025 wrote: Mon Jan 20, 2025 5:29 pm Hi Coopervid
I got PM from you but cannot respond - I guess this is why you do not hear back from new posters as the function to send PM is blocked for us. Is the email in PM ok to contact you at ?
You must have made a mistake. It surely works also with Windows 11. Even in a VM. But good to hear you made it work.Viola wrote: Mon Jan 20, 2025 4:19 pmI've tried on a different partition with windows 10 and now works fine, thank you so much
I've already purchased the automatic downgrade flasher for a different drive in the last year so is there somewhere I can get the compatible firmware files??Coopervid wrote: Sun Jan 19, 2025 9:10 pm Donations are also welcome here. I have again a lot of one-time-posters who don't read their PMs. You need to show your interest.
If you purchased from Billy for another XS07 this should also work a second time for the same drive type. So you should be all set.xplosive777 wrote: Wed Jan 22, 2025 3:04 amI've already purchased the automatic downgrade flasher for a different drive in the last year so is there somewhere I can get the compatible firmware files??Coopervid wrote: Sun Jan 19, 2025 9:10 pm Donations are also welcome here. Man you confuse me. Your posts only list XS07. No 209. Now what do you want? A free lunch and keeping us busy? You got to know that this stuff takes up time. Think about it.xplosive777 wrote: Wed Jan 22, 2025 9:04 pmNo I checked it already, The firmware says not found when I attempt to downgrade, the firmware I have says Pioneer 209Coopervid wrote: Wed Jan 22, 2025 10:35 amIf you purchased from Billy for another XS07 this should also work a second time for the same drive type. Sorry it's unclear, I need assistance with a XS07S firmware. I already purchased the tool for a different drive I own (apparently a Pioneer 209) and it's not working for the XS07, it does not have firmware for the XS07S. I requested assistance on getting the firmware for the XS07S or if there is another way for me to get the XS07S working.
Here is the info on the XS07S...

I'm new here. I bought a drive: PIONEER BD-RW BDR-XS07 (revision 1.01) and would like to flash it for UHD on my Mac OS15.2.
Is this possible or only under Windows?
Thank you in advance
