I have given up on getting VLC to display the BD menus for a while. I am looking at grabbing the source and building the latest version.

[s]I have a standalone BD player where I have noticed something odd. It says that there are 16 chapters in the film, but every possible title displayed in MakeMKV shows 15 chapters.

There are two with the same run-time the standalone player shows (1:42:41) - these are 147 and 473.

Although both of these show 15 chapters, 147 has 15 segments and 473 has 16 segments. I am not familiar enough with Blu-Ray terminology to know if those differences are significant.

I would like to be able to identify the correct one without having to watch them both as I haven't actually seen the film yet.

Can anyone help?[/s]

Ach! I've just noticed that 147 is actually 1:41:41, leaving only one potential candidate! (473)

I believe MakeMKV does not include the start of the file as a chapter and only counts the embedded markers while your BD player includes the unmarked beginning of the file in its chapter count.

Using MakeMKV v1.8.5 on Expendables 2 and it came up with 99 titles. Dammit!!
I really hate what they're doing to the discs lately. First it's Source Code and now Expendables 2.
I just wasted 3 hours of my life using MakeMKV, AnyDVD HD, and Windows Media Player figuring this out.
Here is the correct mpls/title if you have Region A of the movie. I live in Canada, so your BD may vary.

Sorry to pull up an older thread, but...
I have a similar retail version of Expendables 2 - The previously mentioned UPC 31398-16086-1
It includes 130 seperate titles, 93 of them thinking they want to be the main movie.
I don't have 00826.mpls or anything with the same segment map as below, but I understand we may not be working from the same version of the disc.

Not having seen this movie before, I'm not sure which of the 93 to try. I'm using the current v1.8.11. Can I trust the title flagged as "Primary," or is that still buggy?

With 1.8.10+ it should work 100%, but it only works for older discs. For newer discs it doesn't display "(primary)" at all. So if you see "(primary)" - it should be correct.

The 5 titles have slightly different durations around 1:43:00, but there are exactly two at exactly 1:42:41. I ripped both and obviously the correct one is 684.mpls. The other one has a scene out of order at 21:56 into the movie.
