And....I gave up...bought a Quad Core and my problems are now gone.
A Blu-Ray can have H.264 video, enhanced MPEG-2 video, VC-1 video, and maybe even others I'm not aware of. When playing the MakeMKV versions in KMPlayer, it says what codec is used.
