Hello! Providing Purchase Feedback:

I purchased a Pioneer BDR-209BK OEM (Bulk) @ BDR-211UBK 1.53 - mfd. July 2018 – €350 ($400) [NOS, in the original packaging] from skyrider and the experience went well!

skyrider provided me with plenty of information (pictures and screenshots) about the drive and its firmware and promptly shipped it.

I received the drive, and have tested it by ripping DVDs, Blurays and UHD discs and it has been working very well.
(FYI this was my first Pioneer experience and I have found it to be much quieter in operation than various LGs plus the drive tray produces a more satisfying 'thunk' when closing.)

All in all I've had a positive experience and would consider doing business with skyrider again.

I bought a crossflashed Pioneer BDR-209XJB from skyrider on July 16th. The package was in the mail the next day and it arrived to my home in the United States on the 23rd. I did not have to pay any duties or import fees. :D

Skyrider sent a ton of documentation on my drive including a handful of pictures of the drive itself and some screenshots showing the firmware and drive info. There were also pictures of the packaging and shipping label once it was prepared to be shipped.

Overall I am very happy with the smooth experience and I would recommend skyrider if you need a drive!

Hi. I have a Mercury Pro external drive enclosure. Can you recommend what drives you have available that will work the best with it?

My man Skyrider hooked me up with some Pioneer BDR-209BK OEM 5.25" drives, and they came in working great! Shipping was all nicely packaged! No damage. Drives were clean.

I've never owned this enclosure. I've seen information that people have had issues with it.
It only supports drives up to 6.77 inches/17.2 cm deep, but this isn't mentioned anywhere except in the manual.

Maybe someone has tried installing a Pioneer BDR‑209/211/212 in it and can share some feedback?

For shipments to the United States, only parcels containing personal gifts valued under 100 USD are exempt from duty and tax. I will therefore send the package as a personal gift and declare its contents as a "used Blu‑ray drive" with a value below 100 USD.
