I've updated to 1.18.3 and the issue persists, unfortunately. Always hung up on /AACS/ContentHash001.tbl. I tried OWC and NeStar enclosures, but neither worked.

Would this be drive dependent? I have an LG drive that works without any issues.

Would this be drive dependent? I have an LG drive that works without any issues.

Not sure maybe your not so UHD on you LG
Only UHD requires th HK or keydb
Go download them and you will be done maybe you need sdf file too that can be found in guide

I found some time and am taking another crack at this. I downloaded the keydb.cfg and placed it in my users/[user]/Library/MakeMKV folder. I am still seeing identical errors with the new keydb.cfg. I confirmed my MakeMKV install is looking at the correct file. The file was not zipped when I downloaded it. I did rename it to KEYBD.cfg just in case.

Any additional help is appreciated!

did makemkv move it into the tar file?

I am not seeing a keybd.cfg file in the _private_data.tar file. I *am* seeing many hkd_[xxx].bin files in the .tar file.

Attached is a screen cap of my MakeMKV data file. All of the files above the ones shown in the _private_data.tar folder are also hkd_.[xxx].bin files and two index.bin files at the very top.

pretty sure if key db was working makemkv would merge it in to its hk files and remove the keydb.cfg i will have to double check

how is this drive connected could be a adapter that does not pass through libredrive commands
did it ever work for UHD?

I've been able to open Blu-Rays in the past no problem. My first post in this thread is about the time it stopped working with the aforementioned errors. It can currently open DVDs (but so can my crappy LG). The connection chain is BDR->OWC Mercury External Housing->OWC TB3 Dock->Laptop. It worked in this configuration for years before it suddenly stopped. I have also tried directly connecting the housing to my Linux machine and received the same errors. I have a new housing on order as part of my next test steps.

I really appreciate the help!
