I got it now! Working well!SamuriHL wrote: Fri Jul 12, 2024 2:30 am Well this is why I have Xreveal installed as well. Point it to the keydb and let it decrypt then makemkv will (begrudgingly) open it fine.

The KEYDB.cfg file now has this disk's unit key, but not its volume unique key (VUK). (Well, not yet anyway.) And MakeMKV needs the VUK to decrypt the disk. Or failing that, you can ask MakeMKV to decrypt the disk using Xreveal instead.sephirothkefka wrote: Fri Jul 12, 2024 1:09 am The newest keydb.cfg has the hash for the file but it still isn't working for me. Any idea whats going on? keydb is in the right place but it still isn't working.
How did you get it working?sephirothkefka wrote: Fri Jul 12, 2024 2:36 amI got it now! Working well!SamuriHL wrote: Fri Jul 12, 2024 2:30 am Well this is why I have Xreveal installed as well. Point it to the keydb and let it decrypt then makemkv will (begrudgingly) open it fine.

I am wondering that as well. I have a Windows computer and installed it, pointed it to the KEYDB.cfg file, and tried a lot of different things but xreveal refuses to recognize any disc I put in to the drive. Looks like some of us will have to continue to wait for it to work. The disc is in the keydb, it's just that it is missing something that makemkv uses.immutableme wrote: Fri Jul 12, 2024 5:02 pmHow did you get it working?sephirothkefka wrote: Fri Jul 12, 2024 2:36 amI got it now! I have a Pioneer BDR-211UBK and all I did was properly point it to the KEYDB.cfg and it just worked. Libredrive was enabled in the options. once successful it prompted a region code screen which I did A and it worked.toastnips wrote: Fri Jul 12, 2024 10:51 pmI am wondering that as well. When you start xreveal and makemkv, if you put in the disc, does it automatically come up? I am guessing it is because I have a flashed LG drive, but xreveal sees the drive, it just doesn't see any disc I put in it.sephirothkefka wrote: Sat Jul 13, 2024 10:08 am

Interesting. Uninstalling and reinstalling it seems to work no problem now. Thank you! If anyone else is reading this to use this method, you may have to point it to the KEYDB.cfg file for it to work, or replace the one in the default folder.SamuriHL wrote: Sat Jul 13, 2024 4:13 pm Close MakeMKV....
1) Insert disc
2) If Xreveal is not running, start it
3) Let Xreveal see and decrypt the disc
4) THEN load MakeMKV
P.S. Make sure the drive is enabled in Xreveal settings, as well.
Thank you, much appreciated. Was the impetus to get me to spin up a windows VM with xreveal so I learned a lot from this process.SamuriHL wrote: Sat Jul 13, 2024 4:13 pm Close MakeMKV....
