Did you submit the file.
Yes a couple weeks ago. I haven't heard anything and do not know what kind of time frame to expect.

Hi,

Was just wondering if there's a fix for this issue yet? I'd like to watch it. :)

Thanks!

MKB20_v77_Mission-_Impossible_Dead_Reckoning_Part_One_1711 submittet.

It seemed to work, but about half-way through it stopped, and after that it can't read the disc.

I hope it can be fixed :)

Then it is not a key issue. CLEAN THE DISC!!! Then try again.

Thanks for helping, Marty! 😊

The disc is brand new and looks like a mirror.
I was in a rush to watch the movie, so I pulled out my old Blu-ray player (an LG UP970) connected to the TV. It did freeze once near the end, but I think that was just the old player acting up. I restarted the movie and jumped to the closest chapter with the freezing scene — it played fine after that, so I think it was a one-off issue.

This morning, I fired up MakeMKV again, and it could read the disc — but the same problem happened about halfway through.
Here’s the first error I got:
Error 'Scsi error - NOT READY:LOGICAL UNIT IS IN PROCESS OF BECOMING READY' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00294.m2ts' at offset '32302430208'

I let it sit longer this time, and it restarted itself, now reading at 1x speed. Then I got this:
Error 'Scsi error - UNIT ATTENTION:POWER ON, RESET, OR BUS DEVICE RESET OCCURRED' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00294.m2ts' at offset '32303345664'

Now I’m getting a bunch of these messages:
The source file '/BDMV/STREAM/00294.m2ts' is corrupt or invalid at offset 32302448640, attempting to work around
Too many AV synchronization issues in file '/BDMV/STREAM/00294.m2ts' (title #-), future messages will be printed only to log file

I have to head out soon, so I might just let it run for a few more hours and see what happens. Even though there is no activity to see, and “remaining time” is just going up — it’s saying 12 hours now.

The drive is having difficulty reading a certain spot on the disc. CLEAN THE DISC!!! Very important, especially with brand new UHD discs as they often have an invisible film on them from the manufacturing process. This solves these types of issues 99% of the time.

So I just cleaned the disc with a soapy microfiber cloth, and… it f’ing worked! 😄
Ripped the movie in about an hour.

Next time, Marty, please be more clear with your advice — maybe four exclamation marks next time? 😜

Seriously though — thanks, man. I can’t believe how fragile this media is.
Appreciate the help!
