Just adding to the pile here. Are Event Horizon discs from other regions rippable? Is everyone who has ripped this using other tools? Mine is the Italian UHD with UK ratings logos as well. Not bothered about speed, but judging by this thread the issue with this release seems to be more complicated.

As to Halloween Kills German UHD, mine ripped just fine long ago. But the one being talked about here may be a new encryption key.

I think it's the only UHD disc that's over two months olds and cannot be ripped.

I'd like to see some comments from MakeMKV team, on what's so special about it. Anyone has some good contacts there?

@medikoo Yes, the Halloween Kills UHD disc that I have is working now. All I have done was sending the dump (with another disc dump from a different movie) to makemkv again, this time with another mail account. (yahoo mail)

It would be informative to know if there's a fundemental problem with the Event Horizon disc, or if it's some issue with getting the dump file submitted?

Working for me now as of Saturday morning.

Hmmm. Still not working for me using the Italian steelbook as of Monday. It auto downloaded a key for another disc on Sunday so I don't beleive there's anything wrong my end.

crazygoose, which disc is working for you that wasn't working before? The one here has the UK/IRL and German ratings logos printed on the disc, as sold from Italy as well as, I'm assuming, those regions. That one definitely still doesn't work, I just checked with the latest HK.

i had a google drive link with pictures of the box and disc, screenshot of makemkv when trying to read the disc and the aacs dump file.

i had no luck to this day.
german 4k uhd remastered.

Another HK download this morning and still no joy.

I have no idea what happens to that dump file we sent to makemkv, but if we can help, just tell us.

Given how long this title has been outstanding one can only assume it's a problem with the way the disc it put together other than encryption. Fingers crossed for the next version of the app.
