Do you have Makemkv 1.16.7 installed or only an older version? Please do install it and run it. It will download the newest sdf.bin (Internet access allowed). You can then also try again SDFToolflasher.

this can also mean your usb case does not support flashing or need the manual drive id see the trouble shooting section of my guide
it has no drive logic found thing to try

Popped in "Legends of the Fall" and it loaded fine and showed it was ready to make the MKVs.
Got the same error though. Can you help with what you mean about "manual drive id" - is that the "-t mtk19xx" part of the guide? How would I use that in my case?
If these step still doesn't work I might install directly in the tower. That shouldn't give me any problems, or?

Did you check which version of Makemkv is installed? Click Help Info.
Yes, the easiest way is to directly attach it to a SATA port. Otherwise you have to add the -t mtk19xx parameter to the command line flashing via USB - and it might still not work...

It was version 1.16.7.
I'll give it a go on macOs if it is still an issue I install it internally in a Windows tower.

Fine! If it doesn't work, just open the tower and attach the cables. Not need to mount it into it.

just remember the power plug is smaller for slimsata drives sata data is same size
also the manual drive id should defiantly work since makemkv now encapsulates flashing if needed

Am I reading it correctly that it will NOT work for encrypted drives on macOs?

How would I use "-t mtk19xx" in the command line:
makemkvcon64.exe f --all-yes -d D: rawflash enc -i C:\HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BU40N-1.04-NM00500-212005061142.bin
Should I just add:
-t mtk19xx
Or do I need to replace the xx with something?

Yeah add it in the beginning I think after the -d will work haven't done it in a while and not on my PC to look at my automated flashers

Worked with the -t command

Thanks.
Success with one UHD disc but some gives me:
Can't read AACS VID from disc - most likely current AACS host certificate is revoked by your drive.
When patched should this be possible?

Okay, I think I have a problem. After success with on disc all I get is:
Can't read AACS VID from disc - most likely current AACS host certificate is revoked by your drive.
With a lot of:
Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:COPY PROTECTION KEY EXCHANGE FAILURE - KEY NOT PRESENT'
