Any news on this? I was told to upgrade to 1.6.4, and that version won?t open anything. When reinstalling 1.6.3 it just tells me the version is too old and I have to install the new version or register. When clicking the Register button, nothing happens and the application exits.

I kinda liked makemkv, but this looks like a trick just to get people to register. I don`t really mind registering, I just mind the way this is done.

Is it back to DVDFab?

You can cheat like I did in the meantime, oldschool way, and just set your calendar back when you want to run MakeMKV. Old version works fine since it's only looking at system time, not internet or anything. Gives me a nag about a newer version but ran fine.

Then when i'm done i put system time back to normal.

Edit - you're on the windows version, so may not have the same options I had. I didn't install, just put back the program file from a backup I had (running mac on this particular machine). If you have any backups, may try yanking the EXE from it to see if you can cheat in the same fashion...
