Stupid question - are the dump files the why makemkv failed to open up and work?

Dump files are generated when MakeMKV can't find an existing key to decrypt the disk. So... They're not WHY it doesn't work, but they occur BECAUSE it didn't work.
Confusing, no?

Have the same problem today.
Trying to send a dump file, Lethal Weapon UHD, getting an error email hours later.
Have tried for three different email addresses.
