I am getting this again. Downloaded latest update (over year old) and didn't fix it. Is this program done?

That's from November first of 2021, not January (European notation for dates).
Are you sure your permanent key is being used, rather than the beta?

I have been using it without any issue for a long time (except for that period above). It just stopped working.

I recopied to key I have stored and reentered it just to be sure it wasn't corrupted and got the same thing.

I just upgraded to Monterey 12.2 and the issue is fixed.
