A firewall is what I've seen on here people (including Mike) saying you need to disable but I've never had this problem before and it used to update (download) fine. Weird...

Re: The Shining (1980) - Cannot Be Decrypted
I'm not sure what could be happening then. MakeMKV is basically saying it can't connect to the server to get the HK. I don't understand why, but, it's blocked somehow.

IF you've already flushed the OS DNS cache, you'll need wait for your DNS server record to update.

Could someone have actually blocked me? I'd be pretty offended if Mike had, considering I bought a key.

No. That's not it at all. As others have said in this thread and the other, it's very likely your internet provider's DNS cache. Personally I don't use the crappy one from my ISP and change it to a more secure DNS, but, that's just me. If you don't want to change the DNS server you're currently using, you'll need to wait probably another 20 or so hours before the DNS entry gets refreshed.Someguy1234 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 06, 2019 2:31 am

THAT WORKED!!! Thanks so much. I went and replaced my DNS with Google's. It's allowing me to rip the disc now.SamuriHL wrote: ↑Sun Oct 06, 2019 2:35 amNo. That's not it at all. And don’t jump into these types of conclusions as it can provide misinformation to other members. It’s senseless. No valid/honest developer would do that without a very, very good and valid reason to single out anyone specifically (e.g you were a hacker trying to do Mike/his software/domain harm, criminal act, etc). Specially when an honest customer (which I assume you are) has validly paid for the right to license the software. Use a bit of common sense there.Someguy1234 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 06, 2019 2:31 amCould someone have actually blocked me? I'd be pretty offended if Mike had, considering I bought a key.

I agree. I'd go back and take that back but it's been quoted. Sorry. I was getting frustrated and spent hours trying to get it to work. I was just honestly joking. Again, apologies.st4evr wrote: ↑Sun Oct 06, 2019 3:11 amAnd don’t jump into these types of conclusions as it can provide misinformation to other members. It’s senseless. Re: The Shining (1980) - Cannot Be Decrypted
It was you reminding me that about the ISP taking so long on a DNS made me think of just using Google's, which I actually used to. Thanks again!! You rock. heh
