I just ordered one of these:

Don't know whether it will help but little to lose.

let me know if that works i was always skeptical of those, plus no way to put alcohol on the lens itself with the disk. but hey if it works i'll get one myself to add to the layers of steps i take to try and save drivesMtenga wrote: ↑Thu Nov 28, 2019 9:13 amThanks,

No it did nothing for my problem despite running multiple times. But that’s not say a faulty drive was confirmed as my problem anyway, could easily be something else.Billycar11 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 28, 2019 9:35 amlet me know if that works i was always skeptical of those, plus no way to put alcohol on the lens itself with the disk. but hey if it works i'll get one myself to add to the layers of steps i take to try and save drivesMtenga wrote: ↑Thu Nov 28, 2019 9:13 amThanks,

Re: Unable to read 4k discs lately.
I just downloaded the latest version of the software and my drive is now ripping 4K discs again. So there was never anything wrong with my drive, it is the software that changed. And changed back again apparently
So for example I ripped Kingsman a year ago, couldn't rip it under the previous version and now can again
