Tried to use Process Monitor 3.2 to verify but it's telling me "blocked by virtual memory" and is spitting out a bunch of different mpls numbers (i.e. it can't seem to read the correct one). This is the first time I've seen this.
Mpls.DLL and m2ts.DLL cause this. Process monitor will not work anymore with memory capture. I'm sure someone will crack this..... Maybe a debugger on these DLLs could reveal the playlist. Memory calls reside on the stack. Breakpoint the memory point at the call of m2ts or mpls.DLL will reveal the playlist. Watch what gets push and popped of the stack before it scrambles the play order. I'm sure those redfox guys do exactly this to figure out screen pass disks. I use to mess with a debugger along time ago on a program I bought to register it without my key.

Several of you posted the same playlist for red version but MKV listed another as the main feature... does this mean this feature of MKV is not reliable?... Yet :P I used to use process monitor but as everyone knows it's no longer working so now I am stumped as to how to find it myself :( Many thanks to those of you on here who are kind enough to post the correct playlist for clueless people like me :) You're awesome!

Yes, as far as MKV for picking out the correct feature when there are several to chose from, it can be unreliable. Always check here first...there are a lot of good people that devote their time to figuring out the right one.

It is a work in progress as Mike has stated. I'm sure in time and with enough effort, he'll have it completely nailed down. In the meantime, there is RedFox AnyDVD which works very well; probably what those "good people that devote their time" are using!

Does anyone have the correct playlist for the Canadian Rental version. MakeMKV is identifying it as 00939 with the following:
Segment map: 510,503,507,509,511,504,506,512,501,502,515,513,514,505,508

Ripped and played back and it is definitely not the correct playlist. Every playlist on the disk starts with the same first 5 segments.

thanks,

This one should be what you are looking for :-)

Source file name: 00492.mpls
Segment map: 510,503,507,509,511,506,505,504,501,513,515,514,502,512,508

How do you figure this out? Im sure its not someone having to rip all titles and watch one at a time?

Confirmed Netflix
Name: Now You See Me 2
Source file name: 00626.mpls
Duration: 2:09:13
Chapters count: 16
Size: 19.5 GB
Segment count: 15
Segment map: 507,508,503,506,513,510,512,505,514,504,511,509,501,502,515

For some reason the new Makemkv Java Obfuscation detection did not pick the correct title. Previous movies it worked fine.

Previously I have posted a 100% free way of doing this in Linux is the following:

Researching this it seems the best/fastest way to find the correct segment map is to first backup the entire disc, which should be of normal size. Then knowing you need to work with a certain subset of segments your job is to now figure out their correct order, which the superset can be found here: BDMV/STREAM. You should be able to find each segment's starting point and length by referencing the movie.

It is somewhat tedious but using simple time math you can figure out the correct mapping faster than real time of the movie.

I'm still trying to figure out which mpls I need for this movie.

Purchase Location: Amazon or Best Buy
Blu-ray, DVD + UltraViolet edition
UPC: 03139825056280
Region 1

MakeMKV says it's 786. However, when I've tried using Process Monitor, it says I should be using 976; but that mpls isn't selectable in MakeMKV.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
