we all really appreciate your time to fix this issue. I am curious why only a few users seem to be having this issue.

Hi!
Although only two have posted such, I'm guessing that it might have something to do with running 32bit XP SP3...

I would not want to speculate but it might be 32 bit related but I also saw it on Vista and I think someone saw it on 32bit Win7

I'm sure it will be disclosed when it's been remedied...

The issue isn't isolated to x86 flavor only. I tested on Windows 7 x64 as well as x86 and both worked once, then failed the second time I started to use the program. Really strange.

THE ANSWER is that you probably downloaded it on to your desktop in 64bit win 7 or Vista. I've had machines do that. It need a proper setup in my case in
"C:\Program Files (x86)\MakeMKV\makemkv.exe" and make a shortcut from your desktop.
That fixes the problem. Probably used IE which by default throws all downloads on the desktop.

Is your ANSWER meant for just the 64 bit or both. I never us IE, downloaded to my downloads dierctory and installed it to c:\program file\makemkv and it fails. I do not understand how you can assume to have the answer to a problem that the developer does not have yet. ?????
Bob (still waiting for the ANSWER).

I think that is fixed and I may have a different error now. It seems to start every time. I currently do not have a CD drive attached to my Acer Aspire One and when I click on either Open Files, or even Online Help the whole MakeMkv interface disappears. I will probably open this as a different issue. I want to test it with a drive attached first.

This has solved the problem for me totally.
Tested all Ui options and tested rips, all work 100%.
Thanks for great support, a rapid fix and a great product.
FYI - Vista 32bit here.
