It would be far easier if this option was made permanently selectable no matter where you were in the selection lest to the left? or even as a stand alone entry field in the right pane?

cheers, and thanks for the pointer Woodstock.

The reason this isn't the case is because the File name is not always a relevant option. IE, the Audio track will not have a file name, nor the chapter file. It is only good for the title you have selected.

A standalone box would be nice. Are you using Windows or Mac / Linux? Only reason, if it is Windows, i wrote a script to remove the underscores as well as remove the "_t00" of the file name once ripped, and may help out, so you don't have to manually change every file name. Many thanks for your initial an follow-up posting Yugatha I have seen your other post re the script - many thanks for the offer but for my purposes , if I can rename the file name (as I can now) it is stored directly to my movie folder and all is good. The only other process I do is run the MKV through Thumbgen to get the metadata for my WDTV. As MKV supports WDTV profiles, except for the occasional wrong chapter selection all is going well now.

As you have also noted, a direct entry box for this at the top level (even in Basic/simple Mode) would be appreciated by many.

cheers
